  • Participation details (e.g. individual participation)

  • Payment methods and payment information for the registration fee

  • GPS data (to verify the race)

  • Photo(s) to verify the GPS checkpoint and turnaround point

  • Additional voluntary information required as part of communication or the event

This data is used exclusively for the organization, execution, and follow-up of the event.

 

2.3.

Participants’ GPS data and photos are used solely to document individual race performance and determine race results. GPS data serves as proof of the completed route and the designated “Point of Return.”

The collected personal data is processed exclusively for the purpose of organizing, conducting, and following up on the event. This includes in particular:

  • the administration and organization of the event (e.g. registration, start lists, result lists, and communication with participants),

  • conducting the race and related activities,

  • processing GPS data and photos to verify the completed route and the designated “Point of Return”,

  • publication of results as well as photos and video recordings related to the event (with the corresponding consent of participants),

  • communication related to the event (e.g. registration confirmation and information before, during, and after the race),

  • processing payments and possible refunds,

  • compliance with legal obligations, particularly regarding liability and verification requirements.

 

4. Disclosure of Personal Data

 

4.1.

Your personal data will only be shared with third parties if necessary for the execution of the event or if we are legally required to do so. For example, your data may be shared with payment processing partners or public authorities to fulfill legal requirements.

As part of the event, result lists containing participants’ names, rankings, distances, and times may be published. Publication takes place in particular via the organizer’s website and social media channels and serves the documentation and communication of the event.

 

7.3.

Consent to the publication of photos and videos is voluntary and may be revoked at any time with future effect. An informal revocation by email to pointofreturn@posteo.de is sufficient.

We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. These include, among other things, encrypted data transmission and access controls for our systems via Wix.
