How does Point of Return work?
“Point of Return” is an unsupported bicycle race – the name says it all!
We want you to get as far away from the starting point as possible within four days and return within the given time
The route you take, the direction you travel in and the choice of the right time to turn around is all yours to choose.
The winner is the one who has the longest straight-line distance (in meters) between the start and the set GPS point
In addition to great memories, you can win two nights on a unique houseboat in Hamburg for four people
To ensure the spectacle runs smoothly, we offer you, in addition to the organization, a detailed briefing, a GPS tracker borrowed for the duration of the race and a get-together with awards ceremony
20 percent of the proceeds are donated to socio-cultural projects
Our race format is aimed primarily at bikepacking enthusiasts who do not want to ride in a convoy on predetermined routes, but rather seek their own adventure and in doing so, almost accidentally participate in a race
